Wes is Senior Vice President at cybersecurity unicorn ID.me, where he leads ID.me’s Federal and Healthcare sectors. He has over 20 years of experience shaping how federal governments build and buy national security technology.
At ID.me, Wes oversees a fast-growing business that has doubled its revenue and agency footprint under his leadership, now serving over 50 Federal and Healthcare organizations. Wes is also responsible for execution of two blanket purchase agreements each with ceilings over $1 billion.
Prior to joining ID.me, Wes was a consultant at McKinsey & Company where he advised public sector and private equity clients on aerospace and defense topics in the US and Europe. Together with his teams, he generated over $2 billion in budgeted savings for defense programs and their supply chains and produced over $100 million in realized cash and working capital gains. Outside of driving operational improvements, Wes wrote strategies for multiple aviation services companies, and supported a dozen private equity transactions on both the buy and sell side. While a consultant in London, he was chosen from among 200 of his peers to be the recipient of the office’s “Marvin” award for inspirational leadership.
Wes is also a retired Navy Commander. As a test pilot, he flew nearly 2,000 hours in over 30 different types of aircraft, logging over 180 shipboard landings. He was twice recognized as Hawkeye pilot of the year, once for expanding his squadron’s mission set in Iraq and once for a successful revamp of the E-2’s emergency procedures. Outside of his time in the cockpit, Wes was an air policy planner for NATO and supported the Office of Naval Research’s science and technology mission.
Wes graduated with distinction from the US Naval Academy with a BS in Systems Engineering. He also has an MS in Systems Engineering from Johns Hopkins and an MBA from London Business School.
